Read the latest thoughts of joint manager Scott Rogers on the Yellows start to the season

So 3 games in and with 2 more in 3 days coming up, if we come through the next 2 unbeaten we can say we have had a solid start to the 2019 season.

Were very pleased to have picked up 7 from 9 in our opening 3 games. From our view, we were very good for an hour against Hayes and Yeading , solid for 90 minutes at Poole and good for large parts at Walton Casuals on Saturday . One thing for sure is , we will have to be at our very best to get anything away at Taunton Bank holiday Monday because in all fairness we have not put in a 90 minute performance away at taunton for a very long time. They have had an indifferent start as everybody knows but picked up a great win against Chesham Saturday and with a team packed with experience at this level and above it will be a great opportunity to see how our young side stands up to them on Monday.

Like any home game we will be looking to take all 3 points this Saturday at home to Beaconsfield but that's not underestimating what a hard game were expecting like every game in this league is.

What's been especially pleasing to see is that we have come from behind twice to win games which shows this team has got great character.

As I'm writing this we are currently working on keeping one of our current crop of players to stay after an approach from one of our closest rivals , if we can get this lad to commit to us and not leave it will give the squad a massive lift as he has been outstanding since joining in the summer. Full credit must go to the chairman and directors if we can get him to stay.

Hope to see you all at the Ian Moorecroft stadium on Saturday and hopefully again at Taunton on Monday as your support is much appreciated by all the lads and staff

Have a great bank holiday weekend .

Scott
