BRAZILIAN winger Alefe Santos has signed for the Yellows from Gloucester City.
The 28-year-old from Sao Paulo goes straight into the Tivvy squad for their home Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South clash with Poole Town - one of Alefe's former clubs - alongside ex-Tigers team-mate Joe Parker, who moved to the IMS on loan earlier.
The former EFL professional played six times for the Dolphins at the start of this season before moving on to National League North Gloucester.
A winger, Santos began his career as a schoolboy at Stoke City after moving to England from South America as a 12-year-old to pursue his dream of playing professional football.
He progressed to Bristol Rovers on a two-year scholarship in 2011 and made his first-team debut in Sky Bet League Two the following season whilst still a youth player.
He signed pro in April 2013 and became a regular player in the Pirates' first team, playing 27 matches in the 2013–14 season, scoring once.
After turning down a new contract with Rovers, he signed a two-year contract with Derby County but, after struggling to nail down a regular place, was loaned out to League One Notts County and National League Eastleigh.
In 2017, Alefe signed for League Two Yeovil Town and, two years later, joined National League Aldershot Town. In 2020, he was recruited by newly-promoted National League Weymouth and, a year later, signed for National League South Chippenham Town, where he helped them to a record league finish and a play-off place.
