Last season’s Supporters Player of the Year, Toby Down, has agreed to extend his stay at The Slee Blackwell Solicitors stadium for the 2025/26 season and becomes the first player to be announced this summer.
Down was a key player in last season’s great escape as Tiverton fought to remain in the division right up to the final day, with Toby putting a number of exceptional performances in along the way to earn himself the Supporters Player and the Managers Player of the Season at Tiverton Town’s awards evening.

Speaking to the club during the break, Toby said, "I’m excited to continue my time at Tiverton, since coming back to the club last season I’ve enjoyed my time here despite the challenges faced on the pitch last season".
Ahead of the season, Player/Manager Asa Hall has named Toby Down captain, following the departure of Matthew Britton.
"I’m proud to wear the armband going into next season, as the club looks at a huge shake up on the pitch, it is an absolute honour to captain this club".
Asa Hall, speaking to the club said, "Toby played a huge role in our final day survival last season, and myself and Steve are delighted to have retained him for the upcoming season, with a number of fresh faces coming in ahead of the season, Toby has the experience on the pitch and at the club to make an excellent captain, and was the obvious choice for the armband".
Welcome back Toby 💛
