TIVERTON have signed Evander Grubb after the history-making striker left Taunton Town earlier this month.
The 20-year-old has made eight appearances for the Peacocks this season, startingthe campaign with a bang when he netted twice against current Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South leaders Gloucester City.
Evander is used to making waves with his scoring exploits. Four seasons ago, he became the then youngest goalscorer the history of the Emirates FA Cup when he scored twice on his debut for Bristol Manor Farm against Cadbury Heath aged of 16 years and 54 days.
Tivvy assistant manager Ben Gerring said: "We are delighted to welcome Evander to Tiverton, and thank you for the swift co-operation from Taunton Town to allow him to be involved in tonight’s fixture at Wimborne.
"Evander was unfortunate at Taunton and after a strong start, found himself out of the team and game-time become less for him, prominently because of the form of his team-mates.
"He is an attacking player who prides himself on scoring goals and creating chances, and I’m sure the fans will enjoy enjoy Evander's work ethic and attacking threat."
Evander was with Bristol Rovers and Newport County as a youth player before joining Manor Farm, where his performances earned him a scholarship at Huddersfield Town, with whom he progressed through the ranks.
He returned to Bristol at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, when he was dual registered with Taunton.
Evander then joined Mousehole briefly last season, playing three times and scoring once before moving on to Taunton.
Welcome to the Yellows, Evander.
