Over the last few days, the club has been able to confirm the departure of a number of players following the end of the 2024/25 season.
This summer marks the first that player/manager Asa Hall will spend working out plans for the season ahead, rather than focusing on relaxing and recovering following another season as a player, and with that the club are looking forward to backing both him and Steven Orchard as they dip into the player market and build a team for the 2025/26 season.
Matt Britton was the first player announced to be leaving The Yellows, speaking on his social media, our captain for last season said ‘’Thanks to Tiverton Town for the last 3 years. We’ve had some challenges, but captaining the side to a great escape this year was a memorable one. So many great people at the club, I wish you nothing but the best moving forward.’
Josh Jones was the next to announce their departure, echoing Britton’s well wishes, Josh added, ‘Glad I’m signing off with us pulling off the great escape again, the volunteers and supporters deserve it’.
The third player to leave, Joe Parker, will be a name missed by Tiverton fans as we head into next season.
Joe Beardwell and Marcus Day have also left the club following discussions with Asa Hall about his plans for next year,
Dylan Jones is currently considering a number of offers from clubs, with the door left open for him to stay at Ladysmeade next season, elsewhere, Jeff Forkuo will trial with a National League South side.
Everyone at Tiverton Town would like to place on record their thanks for the incredible effort that all of the players put in towards the end of last season leading to ‘The Great Escape’ and wish each and every one of the players leaving all the best for the future.
