TIVERTON Town have laid out the criteria that the Yellows will be looking for in the successor to former First-Team Manager Martyn Rogers.
In his programme notes for this weekend’s Pitching In Southern League Premier South match with high-flying Walton & Hersham, chairman Michael Dunford writes: “Hard work, experience of this level of football, knowledge of the local football scene, sound coaching qualifications and a burning ambition to be successful will be amongst the ‘must have’ qualities.”
Michael also confirmed that Richard Pears, formerly assistant to Martyn, with whom the club parted company on Thursday, will be considered to step up from his current role as temporary manager.
He writes: “[Martyn]’s contributions over the years will go down in Tiverton folklore. However nothing lasts forever and now, whilst we seek to appoint a worthy successor, Richard Pears will act as Interim First-Team Manager and he will rightly be granted the chance to stake his claim to be appointed permanently.”
Tiverton Town’s match-day programme cost £2.50 and is available from the club.
