Second summer signing confirmed.

Attacking midfielder captured from Paulton!

After the announcement of our second new recruit ahead of the 2020/21 season, our media team caught up with attacking midfielder Ed Butcher to get his reaction to joining the Yellows.

EB: I’m delighted to have joined, it seems like ages ago when Dodge & Scott got in touch and discussed the possibility of coming here, so to finally get it all done, like I said I’m over the moon and itching to get started. I played at Ladysmead in a pre-season fixture for Street a couple of years ago and back then I couldn’t help but notice the feel good factor about the place and to be part of that moving forwards will be great.

EB: I can play in a number of different attacking positions so my versatility will hopefully benefit the team in the future. I’d had offers from other clubs too but the attraction of coming here was the chance to test myself at the highest level possible. I’d like to thank everyone at Paulton for their support last season but this sort of opportunity doesn’t come round very often so I couldn’t refuse it.

Attacking midfielder Ed began his senior career at Crewkerne before spending two years at both Chard and Bridport. He had a short spell at Street and then moved to Paulton Rovers at the start of last season where he notched an impressive 19 goals and 17 assists in 37 appearances.

Edward, 26, lives in Dinnington and is an Area Sales Manager.

From everyone at the club, welcome aboard Ed.
