YELLOWS are putting together a 3G Taskforce to oversee the introduction of an all-weather artificial playing surface at their Ladysmead home.

The club is looking to fundraise at least £250,000 towards the cost of a transformational project, which includes the new pitch as well as: the creation of new changing-rooms behind the main stand; the redevelopment of the existing changing-rooms; LED floodlights; and solar panel installation.

Yellows' vice-chairman Matthew Conridge said: "The ambition is to have the project completed by May 2025, in time for next season.

"The club aims to raise £250,000 towards the total project cost of around £750,000 and we want to create a 3G Taskforce to help with the project, open to anyone from the local area, regardless of their association with football."

Tivvy's choice of artificial surface is a high-quality FIFA Pro pitch that will allow the club to make progress up the leagues. A cheaper, slightly lower-quality, pitch, would have prevented the Yellows from going any higher in the pyramid system.

"It will be one of the best pitches in the South West of the country," said Matthew, "and will be the community hub for the town of Tiverton. In addition, the immediate anticipated financial uplift to the football club is estimated at £200,000-£250,000 a year."
