We Are Supporting Wayne

BIG up to Wayne, from Chepstow Construction Equipment Ltd. in Tiverton, who is walking 80 miles later this month to raise awareness - and funds - for men's mental health.

If that was not hard enough, he will be pulling 14st with him for the duration of the eight-day marathon.

Wayne is setting off on Saturday, October 26, from the CCE Plant Sales depot in Tiverton with the aim of reaching the CCE Chepstow Depot eight gruelling days later.

His motivation stems from the suicide of a close friend in the construction business, hence the 14st - the weight of his friend when he died.

"I want to raise money for a family who recently lost their father," said Wayne. "This support will help ease the financial burden they are now facing after such a devastating loss. Any contribution would make a huge difference."

He is also raising funds for two organisations that do vital work in supporting mental health: the Lighthouse Club, which focuses on mental health within the construction industry; and Andy’s Man Club, a fantastic charity dedicated to men’s mental health.

We are backing Wayne 100% - our Girls' Under-16 team will be holding a bucket collection for him at Saturday's Isuzu FA Trophy game against Dorchester Town at the Ian Moorcroft Satdium - and we would urge Yellows' fans to also support him..

You can follow Wayne's progress and get more details about the walk on our website: justwalkandtalk.uk. There, you will also find links to Facebook and Instagram pages for updates, as well as a link to donate to this worthwhile cause.

Whether you are able to donate, share the message, or even walk alongside Wayne, any support will make a big difference.

Let's get the conversation started and help Wayne make a real impact!
