Welcome Tom Purrington

Tiverton Town Football Club can confirm that they have agreed terms with midfielder Tom Purrington following his departure from Dorchester Town.

Tom joins us from Dorchester after making 60 appearances across 2 spells, the first of which was a loan spell from Plymouth Argyle.

Purrington made his professional debut on 13 November 2018 in an EFL Trophy match between Argyle and League Two side Newport County, where he came on as an 81st-minute substitute, replacing Stuart O'Keefe.

Following his departure from Plymouth Argyle Tom trialled and later signed for National League team Bromley.

"Tom is sure to be the next fan favourite", said Scott Rogers, "We known about Tom's qualities for a couple years since when he first trained with us after getting released by plymouth argyle and we first tried to sign him, unfortunately it didn't work out at the time and since then he's been at Bromley and Dorchester. He's got all the attributes of a top defensive midfielder at this level but we are aiming to add goals to his game this season."
