Win-Win for England and Yellows

Writer: Simon EllisSimon Ellis

ENGLAND'S methodical, but dull, progress through the group stages of Euro 2024 means that Yellows' prestigious pre-season friendly against Exeter on Tuesday, July 9, will kick off at 7.30pm.

The national team's achievement in topping the Group of Dearth, Group C, means that, whatever happens, they now cannot be involved in the first semi-final of the tournament in Germany on the same date as the Ladysmead encounter with the Grecians.

If England had been playing on the same day, we had made contingency plans for our friendly to kick off at 6pm, two hours before the Euro semi at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena so that supporters of Yellows and City could watch both matches.

Since they are not, the kick-off time at the IMS will is now a more traditional 7.30pm.
