Aaron Dawson becomes the first summer signing!
Following on from our announcement of the signing of Aaron Dawson we caught up with the midfielder to get his reactions to joining the Yellows.
AD: “I’m delighted to have joined, it’s a great club and a great place to play football. I played here on loan from Exeter City almost ten years ago under Mark Saunders and it was a great experience for me, so to be back here again is great and I can’t wait to get started”.
AD: “I had three great years at Salisbury so I’d like to thank everyone there but I felt the time was right for a change and a new challenge. Martyn and Scott really made feel wanted during our talks and as a result of that there was only ever going to be one place I was going to play next season and having met some of the other staff too, it’s a real friendly place to be”.
Aaron began his career at Exeter City in 2008 before signing a professional contract in 2010 and he made 25 appearances for the Grecians. His time there saw him spend loan spells here at Tiverton as well as time at Havant & Waterlooville and Farnborough. He joined Torquay in 2015 following his release from Exeter and he then spent 12 month spells at both Truro City & Gosport Borough before joining Salisbury in 2017.
Aaron, 28 lives in Exmouth and works in Recruitment.
From everyone at the club, welcome aboard Aaron.
